As with anything to do with cars I work on when I start to do something I always go back to a forumn and find out the tool or part I should have got before I started the job.
So, I have to weld on a new front quarter onto my Disco I have a welder, wire, mask, gloves, bib (nice), wire brush and angle grinder with metal cutting blade.
I think I need to get.
A set of welding clamps x 2, I never seem to have enough of things 1st time
Normal clams as well for just holding it together.
What else do you think I need, what is the best tool to use to flatten the welds and clean the metal.
Also, should I just use Fertan, Zink rich primer, seam sealer and pain post repair with waxoil on the underside of the wing?
Any help would be great.
