Staircase

Could be in box, had tube done like it in the past, about 300dia, 3-4m rise. Was spot on.

Thats the one Paul, although it went opposite direction

Never built a curved staircase before....just out of interest (and without giving away too many trade secrets), how would you guys go about fabbing one? I've got an idea about how I'd do it, but I'd love to hear how other people would approach it.

I went for the jig up into place, cut the bottoms, mark heights, cut topss, I think the treads were drawn up, case of jigging the spines into place, put the treads on level, and it sort of goes together itself.

I made a staircase in wood. It went straight up and turned right at the top and was made to look like a curve but was a right angle really and it took me ages to work out the cuts for the treads. Alright I admit it was in one of my wife's miniature houses but it still made me scratch my head You can see the bottom of it here.

Ok, Got ya! More or less what I thought, was also thinking maybe mark start/finish reference points on the floor to check it.... Nothing worse than getting to a job and finding that it don't fit
