YesPrices look expensive?
And they're still making a profit at those trade prices, no wonder we're called rip off BritainI know what you mean - rang a company today for 4 bags of non-shrink grout for under some columns - 20 quid a bag mate........but 10 quid a bag trade.
Similar yesterday, hire catalogue - GF saw 108 quid a day. Got it for 70 quid a week!
Soon as they know you are trade you get a sensible price.

I was in a plumbing shop, wanted a tassler coil as it happened might as well have been speaking martian, (but thats besides the point), The bloke in front of me, typical builder/plumber type, was chewing the guy behind the counter off a strip for sending supplies out direct to a job, Turns out the house owner (customer) opened the box up and saw Matty was getting his supplies for under half list, although he was charging them list.......I don't think said customer was over happy with BTB.......
Hmmmm anyone else have the feeling that builders might not get away with that sort of thing in the coming months/years
So you charge your customer what it costs you for a box of welding rods then Snowy??!
No, you stick a bit on + your labour costs...way of the world...welding, plumbing, buliding whatever.
weldequip
Do I get the feeling that builders are not your favorite people,
The trouble is if you have a fall out with one, they're like pikeys and you fall out with them all, Dont know why they call it civil engineering, theres nothing civil about the ones I know!I had a nasty experience with a sparky a couple of years back, I'm sure he had the Vaseline out every time he saw me, that to boot I had all the internals nicked out me computer by I suspect his mate, could never prove anything...
