The other major problem here as well noods is you don’t keep your hand in it. By that I mean you hardly ever pick up a tig torch unless there is a job for it. Then you struggle which is inevitable. When you came to see me we got results. Nothing on tube but we covered lots of joints on both stainless and aluminium. I seem to remember your aluminium was really quite nice when you got to it and that makes sense in a way*
After this session you didn’t do much and occasionally you picked up the torch a month or two later and back to square one. It’s a skill mate or an Art if you like. Like all skills if you let them laps they become difficult to get back into.
* I think aluminium was much easier for you because the pool is much clearer and everything going on much more in your face. Low current DC amp pools are probably just too unclear for your eye sight. And your probably struggling to see and judge things. You’ll get there but it might take you longer than someone fortunate to have a good set of peepers. Come back round if you want a second session mate but don’t let it laps. Keep your hand in.
