I have just joined two pipes together in my 3D CAD Package, and I think it is even easier than you think.....
You will note that the cut angle is exactly 90° and it goes exactly half way into the other tube
I think you could easily cut the hole into the tube using a 1mm Cutting Disc on an angle grinder, or an Hacksaw if you don't have an angle grinder.
If you made the hole slightly larger, the other tube would then fit inside the hole.
You could then mark the other tube and shape it as required
Alternatively you could cut the other tube shape first, and use that as a tracing Template.
No matter what the pipe angle is, it always maintains that 90° Cut
