stainless steal sheading gas argon/co2 5% or flux core

I know "the book" says for SS it's trimix gas but my gas supplier doesn't keep tri-mix (and I don't fancy dealing with BOC).
so my question is would argon/co2 5% keep the SS properties or is flux core my only option?
FYI I'd be welding 2mm SS

I guess your going to be using MIG or Flux core if you cant get the shield gas? inital though is 2mm is thin for a mig set up but we dont know what your welding yet.

Inomaxx was the air products preferred option for mig, not sure what mix it was.

What about C2 or an oxygen mix?

I would have thought that a tri-mix containing helium would be too hot for 2mm
