Had to check. Yup

Great for renovation work. 2 quick coats. Flattens. Recoat and most of the surface defects vanish drys quick and sands like a dream.

I binned a load of shallac not likely to do any French! Polishing anymore

I always found a good oil based undercoat effective, never needed named stain blocker.
