Speedglas 100, correct me if i'm wrong but this is the filter:


I found a pdf from the manual but it's in dutch sooo....
I'll explain it like this,

The on/shade button well, that's obvious you change the shade here (8-12) and you can turn it on or off....

Next the sens button:
You'll have 3 sensitivity settings:

1 the less sensitive setting, you'll use it when you have a lot of disturbing light around you, for example someone else welding next to you...

2 Normal, which is used mostly, either indoors or outside.

3 This setting is recommended for Tig welding, low amps and a stable arc...

Any more questions just let me know!
Oh yeah, there are 2 batteries CR2032 Lithium 3 V, that can be replaced if necessary!

hi everone, i'd pm'd "sparkey" cos i had seen the phrase "resident speedglas guru" next to the avatar and thought sparkey would be my best bet to answer a question on my new mask... hoping to avoid looking a total dick by asking on the pubic forum what may have been a stupid Question... how wrong i was or was I!
i want to know why my new mask did'nt get clearer when i switched it on, like my old mask did. was i using it wrong.
sparkey the lens is as clear as the pic you have posted before i switch it on!! with no visable change after pressing the on/shade button.. i have welded with the mask now and it does darken while welding so i guess its working and how good it is to be able to see where im going while welding, my old mask (speedglas) i was given by a welder when he upgraded, must have been 20years old. id had for about 10-15 years and never had any new lens covers fitted in the time i had it. no wonder i had the mask almost in the weld pool while trying to see my welds..lol
so what happens if i dont switch it on again if its been left to auto switch off?
another Q: the black square button next to the battery, above made in sweden! what does it do?

15 years with the same lens cover!!! Hehe, the dirt alone would have prevented you getting arc eye already!!

Well, you've said it, it simply switches off!

My best guess would be...nothing!
