I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only person that resorts to bog paper to finish the job that the modern rubbish bowls fail to do.
I visited friends last night at their recently completed new-build. They have a so-called "rimless" bowl. It creates a downwards travelling water vortex that flushes the entire surface. I'll be looking for something similar when I get around to refitting my bathroom next year.

Our downstairs loo is just inside the back door & also has a shower. Handy when you or the dog or child come in muddy or dirty from the workshop.
For some years we had a large supersoaker waterpistol hanging on the shower wall, It was occasionally just the job for removing stubborn clarts from the toilet!
