square headed bolt? special name ?

looking online for m6 bolt with a square head , not coach bolts , just a square

is there a name i should be searching for ?

Ermm.... Not wishing to be funny, I just Googled
"M6 square head bolt", and it threw up a lot of responses.

Lots of different types of squre bolts, I have seen the type you want called t bolts, try looking for the DIN or ISO standard, https://www.fastenerdata.co.uk/ could be a good start.

They are not very common, so sources will be limited.

If you could go to M8 (x 28 long), look for 'battery terminal bolt' but they are expensive.

Heat up a normal self colour M6 bolt and forge the head square. You could make two vee blocks that make the correct square when closed and squeeze the red hot bolt in a vice.

Need to be square? Some t slot bolts have a sort of square.
