My bike needs a new camchain tensioner spring. It's 66mm long where it should be 74mm. But it's only available with the whole tensioner assembly for £60 + post. I'm not overly keen on £70 for a small spring...
So a long shot, hopeful but hopeless question... can anything be done to kick a bit of life back into it? Although I guess trying to stretch it will work for about 2 secs once it's back under load... and too much heat will knacker it. Or would a little heat + stretch help it...
