I can see how that would work for you, but as i have a large fan to suck the overspray out there will be damp air being brought into the garage as soon as the fan is turned on, so dehumidifieing the air before spraying probably wouldn't help much because as soon as the fans turned on that air will be replaced by damp air from outside... You say you are going to, take plastic sides off two ends and open the doors to get rid of the overspray/fumes in the air after an hour get heater back on,, I would be careful doing that because if you let the van cool down for 1 hour and then put the heat back on, that sounds like a recipe for condensation on your fresh paint?

), ill be playing it by ear about how long i vent the area for ! didnt want to post ill be putting the jet heater back on 5 minutes after ive finished spraying !!

I get ya. Do not put that heat back on in 10 mins
would dry it and the barn to a crisp though !!

I must admit the only thing ive ever used up to now is 2k, so this Epoxy is all new, my local paint supplier has always been very helpful but this epoxy stuff he doesent stock but can get it in but in 5ltrs but my pennys wont stretch that far at the moment !!, so i want to have a play with the stuff on small parts etc to get the feel/hang of just the stuff.
I was looking on Metalflake comparing prices with other recomended places but ill be damned if i can find the thinners !! they have sooo many variants !! can anyone have a look and tell me which one i need, i would like a 5ltr can.

Not as far as I know
In my opinion acid etch is just old fashioned these days, Epoxy is far superior in every way including the moisture resistance. Its just a much better product
Well you may say that but my Uncle runs a body repair shop in High Wycombe and his blokes still swear its the way to go.. He's been in the trade for over 40yrs so I would've thought he should know..

i dont need to hide behind a screen and slag u off. if i have anything to say il say it to your face. i didnt say that u said acid etch was no good . i said acid etch is a good quality product and will be for years to come. epoxy is the way forward but a good coating of 2k on top of it is as good as any . as for your reply post to bobbo it was childish and not verry constructive. there we have it enough said
