Spray foam - Max tube length??

Yes, I use the cheap milky white plastic tube they sell for hooking up
the icemakers.
I would say 4' is about max.

I have good luck with pre-heating the cans as well.

Use a bucket of warm water, you should see some higher pressures
from the nozzle.
IIRC the can is allowed to go to 120f., but do your homework
if you go down that road.

Why do we all (myself included) call it "spray foam" when it doesn't actually "Spray" ?

Another thing, that tubing is quite floppy, you can tape it to a simple stick
to make it rigid.
use the cheapest, as it will freeze up in seconds after use.

I buy cans of the cheapest carb cleaner, and have it on hand when doing can foam.
Immediately after stopping, spray (using the cleaner's red straw) right into
the can's tube, remove it from the can to get a clean flow thru.
Then go after the little amount in the can's valve, blast right in there to rinse it clean.

I've used partial cans for months afterwards by proper cleaning.

I keep the old foam straw/handles around in case I need one, you've already
paid for it the first time.

Don't put the tin in your tool bag, and then throw it in the back of the van

Five hours later, get to job to find everything was either splattered or consumed in rock hard foam.

I extended a can once, about 4ft to get inside a cavity. Only use the tube once or the whole can.
In my case the second spray caused the extension tube to blow off the can end and covered me, the carpet, ceiling and wall in blobs of foam!
After some choice words and laughter I set about cleaning it up!
Also went into SWIMBO's hair and on her dress
Not allowed to use spandy foam in the house any more since that incident!!

Holy cow man !
When I was using it in the attic, i dragged a pail with me to clean the tube immediately
with the carb cleaner.
I also donned the disposable gloves, and safety glasses.

I think maybe you need a full disposable tyvek suit, along with face shield.....
And no matter how badly it goes, resist the urge to roll in it....

Yes used B&Q clear hose on the end of a foam gun nozzle about 1400 long. Worked a treat
