I want to install some lights into this -
The battons are 65mm ish and then there's 150mm timbers and then membrane, then slate, then outside.
So no fire path above.
But I've only ever installed downlighters into empty ceiling / floor voids before.
Logically, what I must need to do is -
Cut away insulation
Install downlighter.
But how much insulation and what downlighter? Fire rated or normal?
I'm not saying this is the correct part, but somthing like this -
https://www.toolstation.com/enlite-spryte-8w-fixed-integrated-led-ip44-downlight/p34762
They're only led but they still get pretty warm, so I'm thinking they need some space around them?
Thank you.
