Spot welding stainless steel wire

I need to make a few hundred wire frames using 2mm stainless steel 304L wire. They are all differant shapes and sizes so I was thinking of buying and using a spot welder to do the work.
Has anyone used a spot welder to do cross wire welding and if so which one would you recommend.

I would think about 2-3kA through minimum 3mm tips would do it, for the amount you want to make, consider investing in a pedestal (VEW) welder.

Thanks for the information and yes I agree a pedestal would make it a lot easier.
I'm finding it very difficult getting any information here in Spain and no one will tell me if a spot welder will work.

I built one from from a microwave transformer but it's only about 1000 amps and although it welds the wire together youcan easily pull the wires apart

Maybe contact a UK company - example to get the info you require then armed with the specs inquire locally.
