Spot welder from a Arc set???

I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this out on thier car bodywork and had any results ??

Tried one 25 years ago, maybe it's just me but it wasn't worth a ****.
Love the "PLEASE BEWARE OF IMITATIONS". They used to come free with cheap stick welders.

Quite interesting to see if anyone comments that they are really fantastic and the answer to one sided spot welding;-)

Put the 30 quid towards a mig, even the cheapest mig is going to be a lot more usefull.

I allready have a 150 amp SIP mig welder and am using Argon gas but was just curious about these as i am changing a lot of panels on my E30 M3 restoration and at the moment i am button welding. I thought that it might of looked better with spot welding if there were decent results been as a Arc sets are not too much to buy these days and according to the link only require 35-50 Amps..

Anyhows what was it like 25 years ago ??
