I'll do some pictures, but there is a section on it back on the main mig-welding site...Has anyone any photos of this process on thin steel?
Does it wet out nicely like OA brazing?
I fancy trying it for car bodywork but it's expensive to get into.
Sifmig 968 in .8mm is what I use. About £120 ish for 5kgI love this forum....... Sounds expensive though. Any particular wire recommend
It needs more volts than you think. I'll get some settings worked out on my new machine and post the details upWhat sort of settings do folks use. We got some to braze some silicon bronze material and couldn't get it to run well, tried on some steel and was very hot j think.
Not yet, might be able to get on it this week...@HughF did you get any settings worked out for the brazing wire? We've got a sculpture job migging some 12mm sil bronze soon and could do with migging it not tig as there will be poor joint line up just by the style of the thing!
