It might be a bit OTT for a hobbyists shed, but it's still small enough to fit nicely into a converted one car garage workshop, And you wouldn't get something like a Myford ML7 with a gearbox for that price. It also looks to have a fairly decent sting on it. I'd say it could spin work up to somewhere between 10 and 12". For a home engineer (And if everything works as they stayed) I'd say it's a fair amount of tool for the money.It’s a bit expensive

It’s a turret/ capstan lathe which are normally short for chucking work.I'd be more inclined to think it's too big for the hobbyists, But a little too small (Short) for a production engineering shop.
