I need to sort out a new tig torch for my machine but with so many to choose from its a little frustrating so narrowed it down to two the weldtec speedway sw320 or a Ck water cooled one no local stockists of either in my area I can't go and have a look for myself so just looking for opinion's from users of either

Hi mate. What machine you got. Speedways are loooooooovely torches. Very pricey mind especially in watercooled format. Tbh don't dismiss weldcraft from the bunch. I have had a couple now and found them to be excellent. If your set on a ck rapid have that covered and supply them to fit. Good thing about rapid is they don't mess people about. Everything I've ordered from them before 3pm has hit my door the next day. I will use them religiously now They always quote immediately and have never put me in a position where I need to chase them. Good guys. I think badger bear has had a ck off them recently and that arrived prompt.

I have both Speedway and CK, and while SW is slightly more expensive than CK, the SW seems to me higher quality and will handle 320amps in 20 type format.
Hi Richard I have the retch 260EXT I have had a look on rapids site at some of the stuff they have but they seem very expensive

Well if you think the ck from rapid is dear I'd forget about weldtec. Try and see what you can find on weldcraft gear. They are every bit as good as ck IMO. I believe (going on other reviews) the weldtec torches have the edge. But having not had a play that doesn't mean a lot.
Regard rapid they ain't the cheapest and there prices are always excluding vat. I use them over most others as price isn't always my priority. I want a top grade service with lighting fast turn around. With most of these fancy torches they are made in the states so if turn around isn't your priority and you wanna save a "buck" or two. Get it ordered from an American stockest. You'll still have import duty/ taxes etc but it works out at a decent saving sometimes.

Speedway is a little more costly than CK if you buy direct from US, but either way you are looking at £200+ for torch and adapters required to fit your machine. One advantage of quality torches is that they have flexible rubber lines, rather than vinyl which makes cheaply made torches feel even worse.

I have been meaning to do a write up on a torch I have found.
It's got a super flex lead.
It's got a swizzle head (it rotates )
And to top it all.
It's a uk sold torch that won't brake the bank.
It's sold by parker.
I'll try and find a link.
My super flex with swizzle head (air cooled) was around £90
They sell it with the aero type handle.
But also in the stripped down version.

What I should have said was their prices in general I new I would be looking at around the £200 + mark for a replacement/upgrade
