Keep searching Ebay for drivers. They may be able to be refurbed with some work.
Proper speaker them 3090...........and all British. You could recap the crossovers for some extra sparkle.

I presume you mean replace the caps in the crossover with new ones of the same value? That sounds like a good move. And yes, they are a proper speaker.

That's it Mango. They may have drifted out of spec and that can result in loss of detail in upper frequencies,particularly.
Must be what? 30yrs old.....plus maybe?

I seem to recall they were Leak's last hurrah in the very late 70's; so nearer 40 than 30 years, I'd guess. I was very impressed with a pair of Leak 2030s I bought new in 1974 (I think) so when the offer of their (much) bigger brothers came up, I couldn't refuse...

My Leak 2030 were £90 new about the same time. I am getting to that age, when I say thirty years......it is usually 40

Just thought I'd update this.
Spotted a pair of Mission M73s on eBay just a few miles from here so arranged to have a look at them.
They sounded ok so I parted with £40, brought them home, fired them up, cringed at how harsh they sounded in comparison with my 733s so took the bass drivers out and fitted them into my 733s.
Ahhhhhh.....
Not quite as warm sounding as the old ones but still far better than the M73s.
