Tig welding?
I did have a Tig welder and flogged it as I never used it.
the problem is I am after flowing the joints into each other, see immage below, a bit pixilated but basically I butt weld the bars (8mm) then weld over and between them to get smooth seamless joint between the components, easy in mild steel.

Tig welding this would take for ever.
With the new gas mix I can get the effect but it is much less controllable, I will have a play with anti spatter tomorrow and see where that gets me. I wonder if the usual argon/co2/O2 mix and anti spatter might be ebst in the long run?
