100 pack for £2.99 every time, almost guaranteed if you bought them from Halfrauds you will run out then have to go and fetch some more, more fuel+ cost. Get 100 use what you need then put the rest away for another day.

I rang a company looking for igniters for superscans ,, an hmi 1200 in a box basically with a few filters and a mirror on the front.
the guy on the phone quoted me .... 240 quid each
I said ok , Ill take two ,,, ah he said multi buy ... 120 each
best I take three then ,,, great he said trade price ... 80 quid each
best you end me four said i ,,,, bulk order he said ,,,, 60 quid each
send me a box said I thats six ,,, special offer he said ... 40 quid each
ok I give in send me what you have ,,, he said we have eight , would 30 quid each be ok
and thats a true story.
How on earth does anything add up.

It'll be worse than that, 3 would enough to do the job but you'll mis-crimp one, or put it on the wrong end and have to buy more. Then you'll buy another pack of 3 becasue you only need one

Back in the day I used to run Halfords stores.
Those oddpack bits and bobs were always a pain in the testicles. The only people who ever used them were the audio fitters and the odd person wanting an aerial adaptor.
I don't know why they bother keeping them - they're a pain to restock and a nightmare for profiling.

Beware of cheapo ones. Guy in the workshop went for a bulk pack of cheapies.. 5mm ring crimps. I used six before I got one to even grip.
