My 8' x 4' folding trailer is the common one available in USA (mainly from Harbor Freight) but came here in UK via Northern Tools. It bolts together and there are bolts on top face where ply etc is attached.
I'm refurbishing at present and changing the 19mm ply to 12mm Buffalo Board with additional support underneath.
With the ply I "pocketed" it to go over the corner frame bolts but this time intend bolting through the Buffalo Board instead.
Obviously I need to use some sort of spacer so the frame bolts can be tightened up without crushing the board. Large washer will be used under the bolt head.
I'm searching for suitable spacers that have 10mm internal bore and 12mm length. I assume nylon will be adequate or do people think I should go with metal (stainless or alloy)
I don't want to make the spacers out of tube or machine from bar so am after something "off the shelf".
Anyone recommend a source of such spacers ?
Thanks
