First time post ,
I have a standard power sp3001 mig welder , bit of a workhorse but runs well . It’s a 250 32 amp single phase .I’m about to go mobile and are looking to upgrade to a bigger generator to power the thing.
What power ( kva? ) would I be looking for to get it running to its full capacity.
Below is the spec plate
And one I pulled of the web with better lighting
Electrical work is not my strong point so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
At the moment I’m running a cheap and cheerful single phase 16 amp mig inverter off a 5kva generator but runs out of guts with the thicker material
