Did my first ever print in TPU, earlier this morning. Printed by a Zero, for the SV08 enclosure. A grommet.

Printed a couple more, whilst the TPU is on that machine. More to test the filament sensor, but gives me a couple of spares too.

The movement sensor portion of those sensors can think the filament isn't moving, with TPU being a bit stretchy, so wanted to give it a good test to see if I'd set my timing value to a value which works well with that filament. Didn't get a false print pause, so it looks like that setting is fine. The two grommets were just over a hour print.

Went for the Oak, rather than Beech.

It's arrived earlier than expected.

Pretty much a perfect size for that printer.

1kg filament spool sits nicely on the lower shelf.

The filament feeder/buffer on this is a noisy bugger. Going to see if I can find some way to quieten that down a tad.

A Zero & the Max. One a 6" build area, the other 500mm.

Got this running a 20 hour or so print currently. Figured that should:

1) Give it a good test, & me an idea of its print quality.

2) Give me an inkling how much I'll be sobbing over it's electricity usage.

3) Hopefully give me a usable riser for this printer, after I print the other two sections, to reclaim some/all of the print height lost by adding this enclosure. 100mm to 150mm loss, depending whom you believe.

Decided, rather than going with a colour close to the existing colour, decided to try the Sunlu matte mint green PETG filament I've recently acquired. It's currently printing the two front sections.
