southwest gas out of bottles?

tried to get a 10l argon this week, the guy at Central tells me the supplier (SWG) is out of bottles at the minute and will be for a couple of weeks. Anyone else having problems or is the sales guy winding me up?

I will speak to them Monday , We have hundreds on 10 litre cylinders in stock .

I was in BOC last week when a chap came in for porta pack oxy set. Boc said they had none in stock as their bottles were all being taken out of circulation to be re valved to side entry valves - language was choice as he was a roofing company and was going to have to get umpteen new regs.

It's only the acetylene that are being re valved. also why was he having to get umpteen new regs

The boys at BOC Edinburgh will be probably making sales by forgetting to suggest either using the old regs sideways, or buying angled adaptors. Bunch of lying b******s they are. (I've been listening to their bulls**t for about 15 years).

recent acetaline cyls we've been getting at work are completly diffrent to the ones we've had in the past

there like the 50 ltr cyls but side valve and with a collar
