Its a mate of mine who makes pole floats..Search micro drills and you'll find loads, but to get a 0.5mm drill with a 50mm cut length I would think your getting into specilist tertiary.
What's it for? For a 0.5mm drill I would imagine you'll need to run 20,000 rpm+.
tracy tool;s do number drills no 1 to sixty. they should cover all metric sizesI am trying to find a source for 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.80.9 and 1mm drills.
biggest problem I thought I would have is the 50mm length needed but I cant even find standard ones at tracy tools , cromwells or macclesfield tools etc.
Not long enough mate. The 1.0 mm is only 34mm long...Cromwell tools.
From 0.25mm upwards, chose your size from the drop down box.

Yeah apparently he has tried these and they are great for drilling bananas.they're available on ebay at 100mm long either £2 from the uk or £1 from the far east. look for "0.8mm extra long drill" etc
