No, tempting as it is. It did cross my mind to get something like that and swap the Hiab over onto it.

Then I thought more about giving up a heater, comfy seats, fuel economy, parts availability, security, ability to travel over 40 mph, have a radio fitted, be able to hear a radio that's fitted etc. etc. Suddenly the whole idea seemed less attractive.

Selling that French built Ford V8 Flathead (that's Sidevalve to us Brits) would probably pay for the Cummins etc. Diesel conversion.

The RLs I drove when in the mob didn't need heating with the engine in the cab. Lift the engine cover and drop a can of compo baked beans on the exhaust manifold and a warm ready meal at the end of the journey.
