It was my reunion 22 years to the day of joining - I was a teensy bit worse for wear the next day!!That must have been some hangover-but then when Jack is on the P in Pompey...............................................
HAHA that reminds me years ago pulling into a tiny greek island, going to rally cyprus , early in morning and the ship (not one of the newest BAM) had to dock itself, so there was this crew member winding down these massive set of steps with 3 x men stood at the bottom of them, easy going down !! BUT the steps were getting closer and closer to one of the big bollards the ropes go round, on the dock side , the steps needed to go back up to miss it, the captain (well he looked like one any way) was stood screaming at this guy to now wind up !! faster and faster, the windy handle was at least a two man jobby but instead of helping he just stood and shouted LOUDER and LOUDER, we where stood right by them watching and felt sorry for the guy, so my mate and I jumped to and helped wind the thing up well it missed but only just apparently and sort of clipped over the top of the bollard, any way we finished helping the guy who turned and said "AFERISTO" I turned to the captain guy as we walk away and said Ma'lakas.Yes, but it's just the crew all running to the inside when the skipper shouts!!![]()

they was lucky the tide came in and it simply floated unassistedby all accounts it was re-floated towed 2 miles and beached again so they can pump out some 3000 tons of water
and the JCBS are leaking hydraulic oil already
