So I've got the bath full of water and the SIP on an extension lead in the bathroom but find the shielding gas rises away from the weld, should I try gasless wire?

It reminds me quite a bit of the only (good) movie where welding is crucial to the story - K19 Widowmaker where they routed drinking water into the reactor of a submarine to cool it. True-ish story and entertaining, but put me off welding in a reactor somewhat. But then again, if I were younger and wanted to make some cash... hmmm....
