i thought you feathered it all back and laminated it with fibreglass sheet and resin thats what i did on damaged fibreglass boat hulls

Fibreglass filler was the final stage, it has all been done correctly. Brace, grind out, lay up to slightly proud, sand flush, fill the remaining uneven surface and sand again. That is the stage it is currently at. Still got some rough shaping to finish before epoxy primer.

Those are all I took. However, a description of the repair is:
Relieve the distortion by manipulation and cutting. The idea is to allow the parts the sit nicely in original positions.
Screw brackets across all the cracks to hold everything firmly in position, ideally from the back if you have access.
Then grind out all the damage you can get to in a shallow dish shape, right down to wafer thin. Bear in mind that like rust, fibreglass damage is far more than you can see, a powerful torch the other side can sometimes show it up.
Clean up with Acetone and brush with resin. Then start laying up in varying sizes of mat impregnated with resin. I like to use a shallow dish to impregnate the mat before offering it up.
Once you have enough cured laminate to hold everything securely, remove the bracketry and screws. Grind out the newly exposed damage and lay up as described. Lay up in stages to be slightly proud of the finished surface.
Sand back and fill any imperfections with fibre filler. Flat back to 180 grit and epoxy prime with two coats.
Repair the imperfections and pinholes that are now obvious with Dolphin Glaze. Flat to 320 grit and apply more epoxy primer. Repeat until perfect.
Flat back to 4/500 for solid 2K or 800 for basecoat and lacquer and finish as normal. All flatting is done dry.

If you can get to the back of the damage, you can lay up on there to give strength, then grind down to the fresh laminate.
