Some Aluminium Fabrication Required

I don't know if this is allowed on here - if not I am sure it will be quickly removed!

I have a small project I need someone to perform for me. It is using aluminium and whilst I have a TiG welder, at this moment in time I neither have the experience nor the time to make mistakes.

I'm not asking for a freebie, happy to pay.

All I a looking for is basically an aluminium rod with a rectangular foot at one end and a tube at the other with a clamping grubscrew (4 of these) and an aluminium rod with a circular aluminium foot. Diameter to be such the rod fits through the tube and can be clamped with the grubscrew! Dimensions to be supplied on request with a fag packet drawing! fFor teh moment, overall length of the rod with a rectangular foot is about 300mm and the one with the round foot is around 1200mm

Happy to pay the going rate, but would like in a couple of weeks or so.

As I say, if this is not allowed or I should do it another way, please let me know!

I apologise in advance if I have got it wrong!

I can cut and weld it if you have.

If not put the drawing up and I will see what stock I have got but I probably won't get around to looking until the weekend so that might take the job into next weekend...

Also,
If you want a grub screw to hold with any force or be planning to use it frequently you will either want some really thick wall tube, or an extra thickener plate on the tube or a helicoil. Or even all 3!

I'm pretty certain I've got some thick walled alu tube, maybe 50mm od, or 70 or 75mm, 100 mm ?? in the 'scrap' bin, yours for postage and a 2 week wait. Depending on length you need.

I can check the diameter and thickness tomorrow. One piece is an arm /tube with holds a pontoon.

It's always a bit of a pain trying to find one size of tube to fit inside another.
You normally end up with a bit of metric and a bit of imperial and a "acceptable" amount of slop!

All, overwhelmed as ever by your kindness and helpfulness. To give you some context as I didn't want to write too much in case it was just removed! These are for some glass shelves in our bathroom. I live in a Victorian terrace that is not square at the best of times, but even less so as we are part of an arc around a corner!

These glass shelves are toughened glass and 6mm thick and 150mm deep. They are for African Violets! One end of the shelf is supported by conventional supports screwed into the wall, the other end are these inventions of mine! The rectangular end will have 2 holes in it and be screwed into the uPVC window frame. The other end will slide up and down the vertical round bar and be retained at the right height by the grub screw. The shelves are not intended to move, so once I have the height correct, I may even drill slightly into the vertical to give the grub screw some "bite".

I'll try and sketch what I'm after and see if it is any clearer. I don't think I need anything substantial, I was originally considering 10mm diameter for the shelf support and similar (or thinner) for the vertical as that is in compression only.
