Looked at the ones on RS & by the time you add on vat & postage they actually cost more than the Engineer branded ones on Amazon!
I have added one of the Engineer branded ones to my wish list as well as a pair of their flush cutters. My pair of cheap no-name cutters are starting to show their age but that's after much abuse!
As for solder wick, I could never get on with it. To get it to work I have to add solder to my iron tip to get enough tip to wick heat transfer to heat the wick up to soak up the solder! Maybe I'm using it wrong.
The best use I have for it is to reinforce track on boards.

Not all solder wicks are equal. I'm partial to the MG chemicals range of fluxes and wicks.
A good wick works better. A decent flux can also help.
You do need to keep your iron tinned, and sometimes you may need to add a little solder to get the solder you are trying to remove flowing.
The tip you choose will also make a difference, try a chisel or bevel tip as it gives you more surface area (to be honest I prefer bevel tips 99.9% of the time for everything).
Make sure you are using enough heat, you have a lot of thermal mass in the wick.
Like everything else, practice makes perfect.
However, sometimes it just doesn't want to cooperate.
