why didnt you rewire it on to the downstairs ring

The wires disappeared underneath the laminate flooring in the dining room, and I didn't fancy pulling it up.

I remember some discussion referring to a requirement for a "power circuit" to be at least 1.5sq.mm. Not sure if that is/was in the wiring regulations, or building regulations or what. The discussion veered off into an argument about why lighting didn't count as "power".

they used to use it on emersion and nightsore heaters. now its 2.5mm minimum .1.5 is only 14 amp buried or covered so needs to be 16 amp minimum
