Got a bottle of Argoshield light the other day switched from hobby bottled Co2 and found it completely different to using Co2. Can’t see the weld pool very good. It’s hard to describe but it’s like all I can see is a gas cloud like a jet coming from the torch
It still welds okay but no where near how I was with Co2. I’m welding mild steel 3mm
Anyway when I first got the bottle I sprayed it with fairy liquid and water to check for leaks and it was leaking. So I tightened it up.
I started noticing a squeaky sound coming from either the gas bottle or regulator everytime I pressed the torch trigger so I took the reg off and noticed the soapy water went into the gas bottle where I checked for the leak. I dried it up with a cloth but it’s still squeaking abit just not as bad.
Could this be a cause to what I was noticing while welding? And how could I fix it?
Seems like the arc is all over while I’m welding dunno wether to just go back to co2
Anyone who can help me I really appreciate it
