Hammers, I like hammers, I've got so many it's just wrong but I keep buying more. My most favorite is an Estwing carpenters claw hammer, it's just so perfectly weighted and balanced.

You're not alone. I probably have a few hammers more than might be classed as necessary. I even got excited the other week because someone gave me an old and rusty, yet quite small, ball pein.

I do love the feeling of 'caressing' something with a hammer.
Eg, today making a hand out of four bits of 2mm wire, tapping the fingers over into a curve. got to hit them quite hard but accurately.
Violence with finesse.

On the subject of turn-ons, I swear that if they ever bottled the smell of old grease and oil and sold it to women as perfume, there'd be a fair few women doing a John Wayne walk.

Castrol R aftershave and air freshener would do it for me, and also the smell of the white cutting fluid we used on the power hacksaw when I were a young apprentice (a year ago now).

I was in the paint n carrossie specialist yesteday (paint n bodyshop) and noted they had various sheet metal working hammers and I just know I am gonna have to go back and start buying my way through the selection on display.
