Snow mobility

how are folks getting about in the snow,has anyone tried those straps that thread thru the wheel slots and wrap around the tyre,be curious to know how effective they are.
Anyway here’s my attempt,Yokohama winter tyres + chains,a transformation.

I've used cable ties in an emergency.
Work well.
Over a short distance.
Don't know how well the straps would stand up once (if) you reach tarmac.

Well if your ties worked ,the theory proves they should,and they’re cheap enough to try.
