Not being bad but if you dont actually understand the full details of what your doing you should not be making any object of importance like towing equipment whether you test it against 1ton or 80ton welds like that belong nowhere near public safety .
you can say itl never break but are you qualified to say it wont .
i know plenty are gonna argue with my oppinion but its fact theres a reason the proper equipment comes certified to a weight limit ,speed limet etc.
Advice from someone who deals with safety and liability of there work dont assume because you used heavier material its better 5mm welded,folded,formed properly will outdo 10mm welded wrongly
