Snap-on 2180 cut out

Hi thanks for the add. I have a snap-on 2180 it will weld powers up fine but as soon as the trigger is pulled for approx 4 seconds the wire feed cuts out until the trigger is pressed again i have tried the trigger switch bypass so its not that also tried a wire feeder still cutting out cleaned the circuit board there doesn't appear to be anything obvious wrong I have also changed the heat sensor. Any ideas what to try next would be appreciated tia

Sounds like a problem with a stitch/spot weld function, can you post a photo of your control panel with the settings you are having the issue with?

As above, most likely you have it in spot weld mode. There should be a 3 position switch, spot, stitch and continuous. It will be obvious which is which.
