I was just thinking...
I have a wee cebora pocket 110, and while i was fixing it up i noticed it had no smoothing.
I know that DC power supplies have smoothing, to provide a nice flat constant current/voltage, so...
Surely a 'lumpy' dc arc will still be unstable?
Should I consider putting some BIG capacitors across the torch/earth, to smooth out the supply? Will it make any difference?
Are there any other fairly low cost modifications that will help?
Ta!
