im modifying a gas bottle chimnea that I made and turning It into a smoker that I can attach to one of my BBQs. The plan is to have it as a modular arrangement so BBQ stays as it is and when needed the smoker is attached when required. This calls for a length of flexible ducting to allow the smoke to cool before it goes near the food.
I'm planning to use some sort of flexible ducting and have come across stainless stell flexible flue liner, seems like a good option but expensive and only available in long lengths (I need about 1.5 to 2 m). I've also seen several types of aluminium ducting, the very thin foil type and the semi rigid stuff.
Will the semi rigid stuff be ok from the exhaust of the chimnea. I will be making a flange on the BBQ so ducting can be attached with large jubilee clips when required
