Smart & Brown Model L lathe -- approximate weight?

I am considering getting one of these as a fun project, not to replace my M300, and I need to decide whether I can shift it myself. I'm limited to a small unbraked trailer and whatever I can fit inside the car.

Any idea of the weight? I'm guessing 300 -400 kg?

Is it easy to split down? Headstock, bed and base.

But people say:

The S&B 'L' lathes are a quarter ton, which is 'heavy' considering the small size of the machine itself. The lathe bed is permanently mounted to the cast base which acts as stand, fluid tray, motor housing and storage cupboard…..it looks like one single massive casting but is actually a cleverly assembled collection of parts. I have seen 'L' lathes on ebay that have been separated from the base but this is not a task of a Sunday afternoon in the shed adn you should consider the layout design as permanent.

Is it easy to split down? Headstock, bed and base.

If you remove the headstock, you have to disconnect the belt. You need to consider how much hassle it is to reinstall the belt compared to moving the machine in one piece.

On an unbraked trailer, removing the wheels and sitting it on the hubs can make loading lower. Once the machine is strapped down, jack it up and put the wheels back on.

If I get it (big if at the moment) I hope loading won't be a problem. Unloading at my end should be easy. Thanks for the suggestions.
