Huck bolts are a good thing as well.
However you can't check torque after install.

These look quite the thing https://smartbolts.com/ They have an indicator at the head of the fastener indicating they are torqued to the correct setting. Very useful in some applications I would imagine, I would further imagine they are horrendously expensive.

Yep. Website enquiry says its going to send it for a quote.....so very very expensive.

They look good - now if they did a nut version that would save buying an expensive torque wrench for Land Rover wheel bearings - even at £5 they would be cheap

Tension-indicating bolts from my favorite supplier aren't cheap. Here's an example with an indicator that changes to black when 10,000 lbs tension is reached, and back to red again if it's loosened:

You could probably get knock-offs for less, but if you have a critical need for this kind of quick-inspection capability, you probably have it figured into the budget already.

Tension-indicating washers are cheaper, but once they've released their orange indicating dye, they won't be able to show if they're loosened later.
