Smallish Lathe?

All this talk about lathes recently has got me wanting one, but like a lot of us on here, space (and money obviously!) is a big issue.

I could probably find a home for something about the size of a Myford 7L - what else is there around that size for £750ish.

I've not used a lathe since I was an apprentice in the late 70's, so something fairly basic would be ok as long as I could cut a thread every now and again.

There is a lathe in the for sale section, looks good quality kit but I know little about lathes.

Boxford, Raglan, Denford, Atlas, Regal; to name just a few. Try and get one that has a Screwcutting gearbox as on some models this was an option.

Thanks for the tips Guys - as soon as I've cleared out some junk from the garage, I think I'll go shopping.

I like the look of those 2 machines that lchis linked to, especially the shiny one. Drool drool!
