Good evening all,
I have a turning job that I wonder if anyone could help me with? I want to make a spacer for the big end of a connecting rod so that I can measure the balance and compare with the other rod for my engine rebuild. OD goes in the big end bore of the rod, ID allows the use of a gudgeon pin through the middle onto some parallels.
I need a spacer OD 45.00mm (+0.00mm -0.05mm) ID 20.00 (+0.05mm, -0.00mm) and length 20.00mm (not that important). Material also not important, I guess Aluminium or Mild Steel would be ideal.
I would love to do this myself, but my Drummond Roundbed is still very much a project, and currently requires much work - I think I could potentially make something more accurate with a hacksaw and a file.
Is there anyone who could quote for such a job?
Many thanks in advance.
