Small Paint Mixing Cups?

Does anyone use mixing cups smaller than 600cc?
I was looking for something around 250cc.

I save all our old Pesto jars and clean them out for small amounts of paint, bodgy but it's like recycling and the paint keeps in them for a while if I don't use it all.

I was thinking graduated plastic cups.
I was painting a few bike frames and got some more to do, it's real waste using 600cc cups.
I don't really want anything I have to clean.

They are a bit pricey, can't remember how much they were but a lot more than the 600cc ones.
Think it's down to paper cups and a mixing stick.

I think I would do as Steve suggests. £7 scales from Argos and plastic pint glasses from Home Bargains or the pound shop. I would think mixing by weight would be more accurate than by eye.

The transparent plastic disposable 'glasses' I tried were softened by the thinners, softened not insantly melted so Ok ish, glass jars with lids would be better.

yeah ive found some of the plastic cups soften but okay if you mix it and use it

When I mix up cellulose paint I use, used 1/2 pint and pint plastic beer pots which I get from the bar of the local theatre at which me and 'er-indoors are volunteer stewards. A quick wash and rinse out, leave to dry and then use. I've never had a problem with the plastic melting or softening. I even sometimes store already mixed cellulose paint in used and cleaned 600ml plastic soup containers, and again I've never experienced a problem.

The ones I tried are very old and don't have any indication of what type of plastic they are made from they just say 'DRG Plastics Glacier', like I said Ok but not great.

I have a scales, I used it to mix colours. But you need to check the density of the what your going to mix if your going to mix hardener/thinner/paint;
I haven't ever seen a by weight mixing formula for paint, for epoxy resins you will have a by weight and by volume formula.
Paper cups and mixing stick are probably the solution, I have graduated paper cups somewhere but I couldn't see why they bothered graduating them, as
there is no way to accuratly see the level through the cup, maybe you are meant to use a dip stick;-)

Get yourself a 3M PPS system with mini cups.

The 3M systems are about a fiver are they?

The adaptors are yes. A pack of 2 (reusable) cups is about a tenner. Then a box of 50 liners and filters is about 40 quid.

Even for me as an occasional home sprayer I reckon it's worth it and has the advantage that I can spray upside down and no longer have problems with the small hole in the original cup lid blocking.
