Small leather strap.

My wife has an orthotic which involves a leg bracelet and insert into the rear of the shoe.
It has a leather strap on the left side and buckle on the right to hold the brace into the shoe.
I need a replacement buckle as the other one had the stitching come out and it's 6 weeks to get it done.
I am happy to fit one myself but I can't find anything on amazon prime using small leather strap or buckle.
Any more suggestions other than ebay where they are all in China.

Do you have a picture of the old buckle, might help jog someone's thoughts along to a solution.
My tuppence worth, without quite understanding how the strap works; would velcro work?

Is there anything from the horse world (saddles, bridles, stirrups, harnesses, etc.) that could be used? Or any of the other country sports? Real old cars had leather bonnet straps. Picnic hampers have leather straps.

Buy some sandles with suitable straps/buckles as a temp fix.

Ok guys.
Here is the best photo I have as I am out.

The long part of the strap is stitched to the left had side of shoe..

The buckle part although you can't see it, is stitched to the right side. The buckle has a piece of leather attatched but the stitching came undone.
We put buckle safe and can't find it now.

It's amazing there seems to be no photos of the same type of orthotic on the net. @magmight have some or know where they buy parts from.

It's about 1/2 inch wide the strap.

Have you tried your local cobblers / shoe menders? My late mother had loads of trouble with straps on shoes not being long enough (serious dressings on legs) her local one, independent not a chain, made them up for her.

Cheap cat collar with adjustable nylon straps and push in plastic clip buckles, once set to size ...... pop a small thin cable tie or a few button thread stiches through the strapping to fix the size in place

Honestly that NHS cobbled thing wont be doing her any good and you should find a competent orthotics place to get something fit for the purpose.
