Hello Everyone. I don't do much welding. I have a very old Clarke Turbo 100 EN. This can do Gas mig as it has switchable polarity. I have only ever used it in fluxcore mode and haven't got a regulator or anything to make the conversion.
Having sold the kit car that was taking up the entire garage, I now have a small work space where room is limited. My bad back requests something small and light as well! I need to do odd small projects including welding a patch of rust on the wheel arch of our elderly X Trail. I know fluxcore isn't the best for thinner metals.
I have seen this online:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GAS-GASL...665ba77e5:g:SkgAAOSwQcpe-2I0&var=533323631127
It seems to offer what I want. I would go down the ready to go package route. It even comes with some rods and can do MMA if I need to weld thicker materials. I will need to give this a go as I want to make a pallet breaker.
It doesn't have a Eurotorch. Is that a removeable torch with a standard fitting? Remember, I'm not going to be a regular user, just as and when. You know, when you have a welder, you tend to find jobs that need it.
TIA.
