I have been having a few thoughts about creating a small basic ring roller. I am thinking of making a rudimentary garden arch out of 10mm round bar or something similar.
Do you think these sliding door casters might be suitable to use with the mounting frame removed? They seem to have a bearing in them and obviously they appear to able to be bolted down without a problem. Obviously I cant use them to roll flat bar or anything but I think they should be ok for small diameter round bar.

I have seen some pictures on this site in Wyn's photo archive which suggests to me I could create a roller very cheaply. The three rollers come to less than 25 quid.
I've made an arch before but I fancied one with more curves this time. This one looks very angular and not particularly pretty but its mainly there just to support the roses and honeysuckle that are now trailed around it. It was built from 12mm square bar. The legs weren't bulit wonky.I just pushed it into the lawn quickly in haphazard fashion to take the photo.
