Sliding Tool Drawers

Anyone else get fed up of tools moving around when you close the drawers on your box?

My Drawers currently have a thin foam liner, But thinking of changing it to the non-slip stuff. Don't really want foam cut outs.

Ultimate Handyman did some acrylic dividers which were good!

Pet hates & all that! Not like I even slam the drawers shut.

Polished spanners are the worst for it. I've just bought an additional Halfords Industrial box so need to have a pleasant hour or two sorting all my tools out again.

Can get big rolls of this stuff cheap. Works well.

Mexican lining:

Carpetet underlay.
Full sheet in bottom of drawer, then cut 10mm wide strips and glue in with superglue
Just enough to stop tools from sliding.

Poundland sometimes has rolls of this in.

They also do camping sleeping mats that work *almost* as well.

My roll is 1000mm and must have been 10m when new. Biggest I can find is 500mm wide by 1800 long.

I lined all mine with some 3mm thick ribbed rubber matting. Heavy duty stuff, looks smart and works a treat. Was not the cheapest way of doing it but I did buy a full roll if you want me to see how much is left over?

No worries. I see it a lot. In fact this particular spelling appears to be becoming quite common.

It's like a virus being spread via social media.
